Mindanao State University – General Santos City continues to advance its commitment to accessible and high-quality education as Chancellor Shidik Zed T. Abantas attended a key planning meeting on January 14, 2025.
The meeting focused on strategizing and finalizing preparations for enrollment in the university’s College of Medicine for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. With the goal of ensuring a smooth and well-organized enrollment process, the session underscored MSU-Gensan’s mission to expand access to medical education and train future healthcare professionals who will serve communities across Mindanao and beyond.
Chancellor Abantas shared that the meeting was made even more special by the presence of Dr. Rody P. Garcia, the newly installed Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education Region XII (CHEDROXII). During the meeting, Dr. Garcia officially presented Mindanao State University with the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for its engineering programs—a significant recognition that affirms the university’s dedication to upholding CHED’s quality standards and continuously improving academic offerings.
Chancellor Abantas expressed his gratitude for CHEDROXII’s support and for the university’s faculty and administrators who worked diligently to meet the requirements for COPC. He also emphasized the university’s commitment to providing world-class education in both health sciences and engineering, highlighting MSU-Gensan’s role as a leading institution for professional training and academic excellence in the region.
